The SENSOR WALL 180DEG IP55 DG Ledvance motion sensor, which automatically turns lights on and off, operates on a simple principle. The device is connected to a 220V power supply and a luminaire, which is set to operate upon detection (motion detection). The device then acts as a switch, helping to save energy on lighting: When movement occurs within the detection zone, the sensor activates. If the model is capable of detecting ambient light, the device first analyzes this indicator. If the natural light in the room is lower than the setting, the sensor responds, the luminaire contacts close, and the light turns on. If the room is sufficiently bright (the corresponding parameter is higher than the trigger setting), the sensor will not respond—the luminaire will not turn on. If the device is unable to detect ambient light, any movement within the detection zone will trigger the light. After a preset period of time, and if no movement is detected, the sensor acts as a switch. Where are sensors used? The application of such devices is rapidly expanding. Previously, they were primarily used in parking lots, office buildings, and public restrooms. Today, sensors are installed in a wide variety of facilities, where simple adjustments can significantly reduce energy costs (savings can reach 70% or more).
