Smart On-Line — the double conversion principle
Smart On-Line are built on the double conversion principle. Double conversion is an excellent way to make the output completely independent of the input state. The network may be characterized by strong instability, interference and any other distortions, but this signal is converted to direct current and will not reach the output.
In the first stage, a rectifier with a power factor corrector charges the capacitors with a direct voltage. The power factor corrector is necessary to avoid loading the network with large pulse currents.
In the second stage, an output alternating voltage of an perfect sinusoidal waveform is formed from the direct voltage using pulse-width modulation.
The stabilizer works equally well with active, capacitive, and inductive loads, maintaining a stable voltage level with a deviation of no more than 1% from the value set by the user. A stable frequency of 50 Hz is also maintained, regardless of input voltage fluctuations.
The stabilizer is capable of outputting a clean signal without any interference at any time. If the stabilizer is connected to a generator, it will provide the correct sinusoidal voltage waveform. This feature is extremely important when connecting asynchronous motors and transformer power supplies, since a distorted waveform of the supply voltage leads to their overheating.
The constancy of the output voltage and the wide range of the input voltage make stabilizers with double energy conversion the only reliable power supply device for servers, industrial controllers, and other sensitive and important equipment.
