Lithium batteries charge significantly faster than lead-acid batteries. The absence of memory effect means that the battery can be charged and discharged at any charge level without loss of capacity. LiFePO4 batteries are charged with a maximum recommended current of 0.5C, where C is the battery capacity. For a LP LiFePO4 battery 51.2V - 230Ah, the maximum charging current should not exceed 115A (0.5 x 230Ah).
